Scope and field of application

Sealed switch connectors are used in track circuit and signalling equipment systems. They are used to connect individual parts of switch points in distributed track circuits, connect rails located on different sides of the insulating joints to conduct the traction current.
These connectors are made with a cable in a shell, which has been extruded from PVC plastic. The sealing of the PVC joint and the metal tube is achieved by way of a heat shrink tube with an adhesive layer, which further improves the reliability and integrity of the connectors.
