Scope and field of application

These jumpers are made with a cable in a shell, which has been extruded from PVC plastic. They are used in reverse traction rail networks to provide the following:
  • continuity of the traction current and heating current (within the feeder zone) ducts and stable supply of electricity to electric rolling stock;
  • operation of signalling and ATP track circuits;
  • reliable short-circuit protection in the traction power supply system;
  • electrical safety requirements;
  • regulatory requirements regarding traction current leaks and protection against galvanic corrosion of underground metal structures;
  • protection against corrosion;
  • significant reduction in leakage currents.
