Scope and field of application
Bridge and cantilever-mounted color light signals fully comply with the technical requirements of TU 32 ELT 046-13. They are designed to convey visual light signals through color or a combination thereof and/or communication mode, as well as reflective or non reflective signs and plates. They are used to control traffic and ensure train safety in temperate and cold climates (UKhL) with location category 1 according to GOST 15150-69.
Bridge and cantilever-mounted color light signals are used on public and private rail networks, at stations and on station-to-station track sections, as well as on approaches to artificial structures. Light signals use one, two or three-aspect signal heads with LED lights or compound lenses of red, yellow, green, blue and moon-white colors.
